An old phrase says:
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
This is what Sadhana Forest Haiti is all about. You plant a food-bearing tree in the ground, you plant 80,000 trees, you give them water and you wait. Not all trees will survive, but even if just 10% of the thousands will, in 6 years fruits will grow, the landscape of Anse-A-Pitres will change, and malnutrition will not be a problem but a far memory of the past.
